St Gemma’s Hospice is Officially ‘Outstanding’!
We are delighted to announce that St Gemma’s Hospice has been awarded the top rating of ‘Outstanding’ following a recent unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission. This is a fantastic achievement for everyone at the hospice, especially as only 1% of the inspections across all adult health and social care services in the country have achieved this rating.
This result makes St Gemma’s the first hospice in Leeds to have scored an ‘Outstanding’ rating and one of only three in Yorkshire. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, we achieved an outstanding score in 4 out of the 5 key areas assessed: safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led.
The Care Quality Commission is an independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, who make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care. The inspection took place unannounced.
