St Gemma’s ranked one of UK’s top charities to work for!
We are delighted to announce that St Gemma’s Hospice has been awarded 67th place in the annual Top 100 Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For 2019!
The prestigious Top 100 list, organised by The Sunday Times, identifies the best companies and charities to work for across the UK. We were delighted to be ranked at 67th place, based on the results of a survey all of our staff were invited to complete.
This is the second year that we have applied for the list and have made it into the top 100 for the second year running.
One of our Staff Nurses said: ‘People often assume that hospices are dark and depressing places to work, but that is not my experience at all. It can sometimes be challenging and demanding, due to the nature of our work, but on the whole I feel supported, appreciated and privileged to do my job supporting people at a very difficult time.’
96% of staff agreed: “I feel proud to work for this organisation.”
St Gemma’s Hospice Chief Executive, Kerry Jackson says:
“It’s a real accolade and a true testament to the amazing staff and volunteers that make our charity a great place to work. Staff feel proud to be part of the team and take pride in giving a great service to patients and their families. Thanks to you all for your contribution.”
