Are you experiencing symptoms of fatigue or lack of energy? Then this may be for you.
Fatigue is a common problem for those cared for by St Gemma’s Hospice. This course will help to equip you with the understanding and tools to manage this difficult symptom.
The aims for the sessions are to increase your confidence, improve your quality of life, help you develop strategies to improve your symptoms and put you back in control of your illness. If you are concerned about fatigue, no matter how mild or severe your symptoms are now, you are encouraged to enrol.
Topics covered in the programme include:
- Goal setting
- Planning and pacing
- Improving sleep
- Moving forward
Your individual needs will be reviewed prior to the start of the group. You will be contacted by one of our team with a date to start the programme. There are five sessions in the programme starting at 10.30am on Thursdays. Each session lasts for 1.5 hours. If you are comfortable sharing your experiences with others, there will be an opportunity to do so at each session. Part of each session will cover a different topic to help you manage your condition.
You are encouraged to participate within your own limits. There will also be some relaxation and a chance to meet various professional members of the team.
There may be sessions that you are not able to attend, but we encourage you to attend every session to receive the full support and information that this course can provide.
