After being diagnosed with cancer, Bobbie says, “I just wanted to be in my own place.” But we knew this chatty and friendly lady needed our Outpatients care to help get back her quality of life.

We arranged for one of our volunteer drivers to bring Bobbie to St Gemma’s once a week – and now she’s been visiting for nearly two years!

• Bobbie attends a chair-Zumba exercise class to improve her mobility and strength
• Our physiotherapist and complementary therapists work to ease the pain in her shoulder resulting from her condition.
• Most importantly, it’s a chance for Bobbie to be with other people – which she loves.

Our Outpatients care is provided free of charge to people with a terminal illness who continue to live in their own home.
