For one special day each year, our gardens open to the public. Enjoy a relaxed stroll, browse plants, pots and gifts from our stalls, listen to live music and a choir, and unwind with a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
Join us at St Gemma’s Hospice for our Annual Open Gardens.
Wander amongst the beautiful flower beds, admire the water features, and join our knowledgeable gardening team for a leisurely tour of the garden to gain inspiration for your own garden.
Garden tours will take place from the Plant Hub at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
As part of the tour you can explore our new Apiary area, look around our thriving kitchen garden, and discover how we are further developing our garden for wildlife.
You can also visit the young people’s cabin that’s been specially designed for the bereaved children St Gemma’s Hospice supports.
Plants, planted seasonal containers, and hanging baskets will be on sale from the Plant Hub where you can also take part in a Summer Wreath making workshop, using foliage from the garden.
A Treasure Hunt for children to complete is available throughout the day. Refreshments including tea and cakes as well as a bottle tombola and many other stalls for you to wander around.
No booking is needed – just come along on the day and make a donation for entry.
The event will be held in the Hospice’s beautiful gardens at 329 Harrogate Road, Moortown, Leeds LS17 6QD (for Sat Nav please use LS17 6JP).
