We are making some changes to our Hospice Lottery.
If you would like to support St Gemma’s by playing a lottery
From 2nd February 2018, we are delighted to announce that we will be joining the Local Hospice Lottery. This means the Hospice will receive more money from your £1 entries, whilst also offering you a large top prize and a large overall prize fund.
Local Hospice Lottery is an incredibly successful partnership that has been running since 2008 and currently supports 19 hospices throughout Great Britain through its weekly draw. At present it has £4,600 in prizes each week, including a guaranteed weekly top prize of £2,000, two guaranteed Super Draws per year, each with a £10,000 top prize, and a rollover prize that can reach as much as £25,000!
If you have played the St Gemma’s and Wheatfields Hospices Lottery through cash collection
Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer a cash collection service. Your current cash collections for entry into the St Gemma’s & Wheatfields Hospices Lottery will cease prior to the last draw of this lottery on 26th January 2018 and you will continue to play this lottery until your credit expires.
You will receive a letter explaining everything and offering you the opportunity to support St Gemma’s via Local Hospice Lottery.
If you currently play the St Gemma’s and Wheatfields Hospices Lottery via the bank
You will shortly receive a letter explaining some changes but the good news is that if you subscribe by standing order, direct debit cheque or credit card you do not need to take any action.
The planned changes will go live from the 3rd February 2018. We’ve teamed up with the Unity Lottery to allow us to generate even more profit for the Hospices as well as giving you a great chance to win prizes.
The lottery will still be drawn every week and still cost £1 to enter, and if you win your prize will be sent directly to you, the same as it is now.
Both Hospices are continually reviewing ways to improve fundraising activities to maximise the amount of money raised to support patient care. This is especially important as we look to develop our services for the people of Leeds.
With many thanks for your generosity and continued support of our caring work which makes such a difference to the people of Leeds and beyond.
