Course Content
Effective communication at the end of life is essential to providing compassionate, person-centred care. This session equips you with the tools and confidence to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and clarity (Supportive level, NHSE 2025).
The session includes:
- Key challenges and barriers in end-of-life conversations
- Facilitative communication skills to support individuals and their families
- How to respond to emotional cues and difficult questions
- Managing difficult emotions
- Self care.
Eligibility Criteria
This session is ideal for health and social care professionals involved in palliative and end-of-life care who want to improve their core communication skills.
