Course Content
This session is designed to raise awareness and build confidence in supporting people experiencing grief and bereavement. It is not a counselling qualification but offers practical insights and tools for compassionate support.

- Individual’s emotional responses to loss
- Key models of grief: Kubler-Ross, Dual Process, Continuing Bonds, Growing around Grief
- Supporting children, young people, and people with learning disabilities in grief and bereavement
- Creative methods for expressing and processing grief
- Expert guidance in supporting a person with dementia in grief and bereavement
- Self-care and resilience.
Eligibility Criteria
This course is ideal for anyone working in health, social care, education, or community roles who would like to build their foundation knowledge and confidence within this area of practice. Suitable for both support staff and qualified professionals.
