Anglican Bishop of Leeds visits the Hospice

We were honoured to welcome the Anglican Bishop of Leeds, Nick Baines, to St Gemma’s Hospice today. He met with colleagues, patients and families, and enjoyed a stroll around the Hospice’s beautiful gardens which looked stunning in the sunshine.

Kerry Jackson, Chief Executive of St Gemma’s said:

“It is always a pleasure to welcome Bishop Nick to the Hospice. He has been a Patron for almost 10 years and we are grateful for his continued support and for helping to promote the vital work of the Hospice to the Diocese and wider community.”

During his visit, Bishop Nick said:

“It has been a privilege to hear about the important work carried out both at the Hospice and by the St Gemma’s team in the community. Living with mortality and death is a most important part of life. It is my honour to be a Patron of this vital, local charity.”
