Our year at St Gemma’s: sharing our work and progress

We are pleased to share the publication of our latest charity documents, which together offer a transparent and comprehensive view of our work, our impact and how we continue to deliver our vision at St Gemma’s Hospice.

These documents reflect a significant collective effort from teams across the organisation and provide important insight into how we operate as a charity, how we use our resources and how we continue to improve the care and support we provide.

Our Quality Account sets out how we deliver our vision through safe, effective and compassionate care. It outlines the quality improvements introduced over the past year, alongside our priorities and planned improvements for the year ahead. This report demonstrates our ongoing commitment to learning, development and delivering the highest possible standards for patients and families.

The Trustees’ Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2025 provide a detailed overview of our governance, financial position and performance. They show how funds are raised, managed and directed to support patient care, education and research, ensuring accountability and responsible stewardship.

We have also published the Academic Unit of Palliative Care Annual Report 2025, which highlights key achievements across education, research and evidence based practice. This report reflects the vital role our Academic Unit plays in improving palliative care locally, nationally and internationally.

Finally, The Year in Review 2024/25 offers a concise overview of our work and key highlights from the past year, bringing together the people, services and moments that shaped our year.

Together, these documents support transparency, accountability and trust, and reflect the dedication of our staff, volunteers and partners who made their creation possible.
