Course Content
One-day interactive workshop that is FREE for eligible HDFT staff.
This course is for HDFT staff to help build confidence, knowledge and practical communication skills to support people approaching the end of life.
Why attend?
- Take away practical techniques you can use immediately in clinical practice.
- Develop confidence in Advance Care Planning (ACP) conversations.
- Learn how to have compassionate serious illness conversations with patients and those important to them.
- Explore planning ahead, preferred priorities of care and communication across services.
- Practice skills through interactive discussion, scenarios and shared learning.
Eligibility Criteria
Registered Nurses (including Associate Nurses) and relevant Allied Health Professionals working within HDFT hospital or community services. Limited places may be available for medical staff, if capacity allows.
