Light Up a Life at St Gemma’s Hospice
Our event at the Hospice is well attended every year as we are joined by so many of our community who wish to remember their loved ones at this special time.
This event is non-religious and will include songs from the Hospice choir, readings and moments of reflection. Our Roll of Honour will feature the dedications we receive from supporters, and our books of remembrance will also be filled with your loved ones’ names and be on display at the event. Dedications must be received by Friday 20th November to be included in the Roll of Honour and the books of remembrance.
During the event, our beautiful Light Up a Life trees will be illuminated for the first time; lit with thousands of lights, each shining in memory of someone loved and greatly missed.
This event is a beautiful way for our community to come together at a special time and pay tribute to those we have lost recently, and over the years.
Please note that this is an outdoor event. This event will go ahead in all weather conditions, or in the instance of exceptionally bad weather, the event will move to online only. Please do wrap up warm!

FAQ’s
This is an outdoor event and will take place in our main car park, which is accessible off Moorland Drive. Parking will not be available in the grounds of the Hospice so please allow plenty of time to park in the local area. There will be no access to the Hospice.
