Light Up a Life

Dedicate your light

Every year, our St Gemma’s community comes together to remember our loved ones, and celebrate those people who remain truly special to us and will never be forgotten.

Please join us in dedicating a light in memory of your loved one. Our beautiful trees at the Hospice will soon be shining bright, filled with lights of love and remembrance from all of us.

Once you make your dedication, you will receive a pack in the post which will have all of the information you need on our two Light Up a Life events, along with a personalised tribute card with your loved ones’ names and a memory star for your home with space for you to write your own special message.

By making a donation alongside your dedication, you are making sure our incredible Hospice can continue to be here for patients and their families when they need us most.

Please note that the deadline to guarantee your loved ones’ names will be displayed on the Roll of Honour, and in our remembrance books at our events, is Friday 20th November. We cannot guarantee that dedications made after this date will be displayed.

Light Up a Life at St Gemma’s Hospice

Our event at the Hospice is well attended every year as we are joined by so many of our community who wish to remember their loved ones at this special time.

Everyone is welcome, those with a faith and those without – what matters most is bringing our community together at this special time in a beautiful tribute to those we have lost recently, and over the years.

This church event will be a more traditional service, with carols and readings.

You may light a candle in memory of your loved ones if you would like to.

Join us from the comfort of your own home to watch our Hospice event live.

You can join us in remembering your loved ones, even if you can’t be with us at the Hospice.
