Our Hospice is an extraordinary place. Time here is so precious for our patients, and we do everything we can to support them and their loved ones through some of the hardest days of their lives. Our teams go above and beyond to make sure there’s dignity, choice – and positive memories to cherish.

It’s never been easy. And in 2026, it’s still challenging. Costs have gone up, and continue to rise – and it’s become harder to fund this critical work.

A story that’ll stay with you

Hello, my name is Jack. I want to tell you about my wonderful wife, Vic.

Just over a year ago, Vic was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of oesophageal cancer. She was just 32.

Vic was incredible, so overwhelmingly positive. But after 39 days of treatment, we came to St Gemma’s Hospice for end-of-life care. Thanks to them, we were able to truly cherish our final week together.
