Lisa’s Story
Lisa’s mum Gloria was cared for on St Gemma’s In-Patient Unit. Lisa shares her story:
“My Mum had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer 4 years ago. Mum was in and out of remission, with many chemo sessions. Mum took dangerously ill in January and spent until the last week of February in hospital. Eventually a decision was made that Mum was to have end of life care in St Gemma’s. What a wonderful warm place. Obviously as a family my Dad, who was married to Mum for 54 years this year, myself, Antony, and Donna spent a whole week at St Gemma’s. We owe the hospice everything, we are forever in your debt.”
